How to Remove Dog Urine Smell from Artificial Grass

Urea-Z will neutralize and remove the dog urine smell from artificial grass!

urea-z remove odor from artificial turfArtificial grass has one of the highest “stink” ratings when it comes to dog or pet urine smell. Unfortunately, the urine crystals get stuck in the sand/DG/or product underneath the grass, trapping the smell. This becomes even more uncomfortably obvious as the hot months roll around. Luckily, Urea-Z removes urine odor completely. The microbes in Urea-Z eat up the urine crystals that cause the urine odor and leave behind only water and hydrogen. So they are completely safe for your family and fur babies.

Here is how to use Urea-Z on artificial grass and get the best results:

  1. Using the 1- gallon sprayer, mix 8 oz. of Urea-Z concentrate with water and let sit for 10 minutes. This allows the microbes to wake up and start reproducing.
  2. With the hose, lightly water the areas of your artificial grass that your pet pees on with just water. This creates a “freeway” for the Urea-Z microbes to cruise down to reach the lower areas underneath the artificial turf where the urine smell crystals are located. It is important to note here not to spray too much water because that can wash away the microbe colony you are trying to build.
  3. Take the Urea-Z mixture and mist those same areas of your artificial grass with the Urea-Z mixture.
  4. Wait 15 minutes and mist the artificial turf down with water.

Repeat this process for 3-5 days or until the smell is gone.

Once the smell is removed we recommend spraying the area once every two weeks with Urea-Z for maintenance. As well as misting the area with water twice per week.

If you live in a very hot area we recommend following this process either early in the morning or after dusk to minimize the evaporation of the water.

This process will neutralize and remove the dog urine odor from your artificial turf, allowing you to #smelltherosesagain!
