How to keep your artificial turf from smelling in the heat?

During the hot months you start to spend more time outside in the sun, but unfortunately the sun has some not so nice counter affects on your artificial lawn. If you have pets, the heat may cause your artificial lawn to smell way worse than normal, and the last thing you want is for your friends who are coming over to BBQ with you, to be stuck smelling that pungent urine smell!

Here are tips on how to keep your artificial grass from smelling during summer. Step 1 use Urea-Z! I know how frustrated you must feel, having tried all the major brands to try and get rid of that awful smell and none of them working. Believe me, I know, I was right there in your shoes not that long ago. I was so frustrated I was going to actually rip out all the fake grass around my house because the smell was driving me crazy!

The good news is, Urea-Z works. These microbes eat the urine crystals so the smell isn’t masked, it’s gone!

When using Urea-Z during the hot months, it is important to remember that the microbes are little tiny living things that need both food and water to survive. So like humans, during the hot months, the microbes need more water. We recommend spraying the affected areas with water a few times a week to keep the microbes hydrated and alive so they can keep eating the urine crystals and removing the urine smell.

We also recommend using the Urea-Z either at dawn or dusk to help minimize evaporation. Spraying the Urea-Z in the middle of the day while the sun is blazing at over 100 degrees can decrease the effectiveness of the microbes.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel and you’ll be able to use your outdoor space soon!
